LYCÉE

Lycées are state secondary schools where pupils study for their « baccalauréat » after leaving the « collège ». The lycée covers the school years known as « seconde » (15-16 year-olds), « première » (16-17 year-olds) and « terminale » (up to leaving age at 18).
